A bright, but overcast morning at Old Trafford, but four days of great cricket forcast!
With James Anderson and Jos Buttler away with the England one-day squad, Alex Davies and Karl Brown return to the squad.
The two counties are set to resume a recent rivalry which has produced a number of memorable LV= County Championship clashes.
Since the start of 2008, Lancashire have only lost once against Sussex in eight clashes, winning three of those.

Andrew Flintoff has pulled on a Lancashire tracksuit again to help the club’s academy players.
Having helped out in one session, Flintoff has revealed he is now keen for more.
“Forgot how good wearing a @LancsCCC tracksuit makes you feel,” tweeted Flintoff. “Great night coaching the academy. I hope they have me back, loved it.”

Lancashire Cricket Pre Season Training
The Lads are back in training for the 2014 season and I spent a couple of hours watching and taking photos at the indoor school.
